چکیده

The recent discovery of two-dimensional (2D) superconductivity at the interface $\mathrm{Ba}\mathrm{Pb}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ (BPO) and $\mathrm{Ba}\mathrm{Bi}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ (BBO) has motivated us to study in depth electronic structural properties relation between them this particular heterostructure, by means first-principles calculations. Our results indicate that breathing distortions, charge ordering, semiconducting behavior characterize parent compound BBO its bulk form are preserved innermost layers side BPO/BBO bilayer. On other hand, interface, there is a partial breaking distortions with concomitant transfer interfacial Bi ions on top BPO layer. We show two types carriers coexist delocalized three-dimensional-like $sp$ states coming from Pb quasi-2D $s$ ones. obtain substantial electron-phonon coupling 2D stretching phonon mode large density can explain critical temperature experimentally observed below 3.5 K. hope these findings will motivate future research explore different interfaces charge-ordered semiconductors such as order trigger fascinating behavior.

Electron-phonon coupling in a two-dimensional inhomogeneous electron gas: consequences for surface spectral properties

We investigate the coupling of an inhomogeneous electron system to phonons. The properties of an electronic system composed of a mixture of microscopic ordered and disordered islands are changed fundamentally by a phonon mode. In high-Tc cuprates, such a phase separation scenario is supported by recent STM and nuclear quadrupole resonance studies. We show that even a weak or moderate electronph...

0 Superconductivity in a Dilute Two Dimensional Electron System

We develop a finite temperature mean field theory in the path integral picture for an extremely dilute system of interacting Fermions in a plane. In the limit of short ranged interaction, the system is shown to undergo a phase transition to a superconducting regime. Unlike the well known BCS transition for metals, this phase transition is found to be very sensitive to the two dimensional nature...
